District policy: those teachers who have taught for more than 3 years but are
new to Box Elder School District are in provisional
status for three years.
In light of this...
- Principals will make contact early to discuss Enhancing Professional Practice Rubrics and set goals
- Because collaboration, mentoring and coaching are valuable for all teachers, coaches will make
monthly contact with all teachers new to the district
- ALL teachers new to the district will participate in district sponsored book studies
Regardless of a teacher's level of experience and mastery, the expectation of ALL teachers new to the district is to attend
district sponsored professional development and take advantage of the opportunity to collaborate with other teachers and
improve their instructional practices.
