9th Grade Course Requests

The Course Request Window opens on February 20th and will close on March 1st.

The BEMS Counselors will be available in the BEMS Library from 3:30 pm-7 pm on February 15th and February 21st to assist parents through this course request process. A special window will be opened early for those who attend on the 15th.

Courses will be selected during a group Planning for College and Career Readiness Meeting (PCCR) held in your student's math class. This can accessed through ASPIRE and the College and Career Plan. To prepare for 9th grade, please do the following:

  • Log in on ASPIRE.

  • Click on College and Career Plan

  • Verify that all required courses are added.

    • Language Arts A, B, & C

    • Secondary Math I A, B, & C

    • World Geography

    • PE Participation Skills

    • Choice of Digital Studies** (Digital Business Applications or Exploring Computer Science)

    • Choice of Science (Earth Science A & B* or Ag Science A & B)

  • Review elective choices.

  • Count courses. Total number of courses should total 18.

**To meet High School Graduation Requirements, 1 Digital Studies class is required. Classes that fulfill this requirement at BEHS are Business Office Specialist, Web Development, or Computer Programming.

*Earth Science fulfills a Foundation Science requirement for graduation. Your student will need to take 2 foundation science classes AND 1 elective science class to meet High School Graduation Requirements. The Foundation Science classes at BEHS are Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
