Next week is Kindness Week! Feb 10-14, 2025. Our Jr. Hope Squad have planned and chose our dress up days and helped plan some activities for the week. The them is Horton Hears a Who so we will be doing activities around that theme throughout the week. It will be so fun and important-we can't wait to spread more kindness!

2024 Annual Core Standards Survey

Each year, the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) administers an annual survey seeking feedback from educators, parents, students, and other interested community members on Utah’s Core Standards. Core Standards serve as the basic knowledge, skills, and competencies each student is expected to acquire or master as the student advances through the public education system. The survey provides USBE with key insights into potential need for revision to the current standards. You can review the current core standards by visiting https://www.schools.utah.gov/curr/utahcorestandards. The survey will be open for 30 days, from July 23 to August 23 and the results are expected to be reported to the Standards and Assessment Committee on September 6, 2025. Thank you in advance for your engagement in this feedback process.

Hello North Park parent/guardians,
We are planning college and career week and would love your inclusion! We want to put together a slideshow of pictures or videos of you at your job. This can include a picture of you in your uniform, a day in the life, or a short video stating your job title and showcasing your work environment. We want a big variety of jobs to show our students how diverse employment and careers can be! It doesn’t have to be you, it can be anyone you know. Below are some examples of what to submit. Please submit your pictures and videos to our counselor Mrs. Dacia. Her email address is dacia.pitcher@besd.net.

They also have different and upcoming family classes and workshops. As well as drop in childcare. Check out the fliers for some more details.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We just wanted to inform you that during parent teacher conferences one of our district LCSWs will be present for you to meet with. These meetings are meant to educate and inform parents/guardians about options available to them for students who may be experiencing emotional difficulties or other mental health challenges. You are welcome to make an appointment by calling the school. You will be able to discuss your concerns and then work together to determine the best assistance available for your student.
