Keith Mecham brings 33 years of dedicated service to education—18 as a high school mathematics teacher and 15 in district and school administration within Box Elder School District. As Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Teaching & Learning, Keith has led transformational initiatives involving competency grading, district wide priority curriculum standards and solutions that have improved graduation rates by 6% and reduced chronic absenteeism by 4% while overseeing secondary curriculum, PLCs, and multimillion-dollar budgets.
Grounded in faith and guided by his Core Four—Trust in the Lord, Stay Steady, Enjoy the Journey,and Improve Each Day—Keith leads with warmth and conviction. His philosophy centers on the 5 C's: Connection (building trusting relationships with all stakeholders), Communication(fostering clarity and understanding), Collaboration(advancing PLCs and collective learning), Contribution (inspiring service and gratitude), and Career-Readiness (preparing students for success in an ever-changing world).
Keith has expanded online course offerings, supported comprehensive athletics and student services, and has plans to strengthen community partnerships. A third-generation educator, husband, father, and grandfather, Keith remains committed to helping each student and staff member reach their potential while maintaining humility, encouragement, and a growth mindset.
