AJ Gilmore

We are excited to welcome A.J. Gilmore as Box Elder School District’s Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Learning for Secondary Education.

A.J. Gilmore has been with our district for 19 years. His teaching spanned McKinley Elementary and ACYI, mainly teaching 7th grade math. As an administrator, he was the assistant principal at BEMS and then served as principal at BEMS, BRHS, and currently BEHS. He also served on the UHSAA Executive Committee and as Region 11 Chairman.

A.J. is grateful for the amazing students, parents, staffs and communities he's been able to work with and serve. He's looking forward to helping support these same groups in our efforts to "Ensure all students learn at grade level or higher." A.J. is humbled by this opportunity to help lead and support our secondary schools, students and staff members!

Please join us in welcoming A.J. to his new role as he steps into the position previously held by Keith Mecham, who has moved into the Superintendent role.
